Artwork description

A tall, three-masted sailing ship cuts across heavy grey-green swells under a sky still thick with the last clouds of a passing storm, a single patch of blue breaking through above the horizon. Her sails are set full and taut, catching the wind as she pushes steadily forward, spray lifting off the bow where dark water meets weathered timber. The mood balances tension and relief, the danger of the storm just behind her, the open sea still restless but survivable ahead.
