Lunar New Year preparations fill this old Chinese street at dusk. Two children hold red-orange lanterns that glow against their clothes, a toddler sits on the ground at their feet, and a man stands on a ladder at the doorway above them near a pink lantern hanging high. Women in long dresses stand at the left, and the sky behind the weathered buildings fades from violet to orange.

The format is tall, in ten sizes from 30 x 37 cm up to 150 x 187 cm. The painting is made to order, hand-painted in oil on canvas and finished in 2 to 4 weeks. For a faster route there is the Fine Art Print, made in 2 to 4 business days. Detail photographs of the faces and lanterns are sent on request through the contact page.
