Artwork description
These irises are painted in the Van Gogh style, the manner of Vincent van Gogh, and are not a copy of one of his canvases. Blue-violet flowers with yellow beards rise among long green leaves outlined in dark blue, the tallest iris near the top center and several buds on green stalks around it. Behind them the sky swirls in yellow, cream and pale blue, and a strip of rust-red earth runs along the bottom. The strokes are thick and short, with dark outlines around petals and leaves, which gives the Post-Impressionist look of that style.
Each painting is made to order, hand-painted in oil on canvas by a workshop painter, who needs 2 to 4 weeks once your order arrives. A Fine Art Print is offered in the same sizes. Landscape sizes start at 40 x 30 cm and reach 202 x 150 cm.
