A boy at the foot of the bridge holds up a pole with a glowing round lantern, round fans show in the hands of the figures on the bridge, and a twisted bare branch curls across the sky. A pagoda roof shows faintly in the background. The flat, decorative shapes and the dreamlike mood fit the Art Nouveau and Symbolist styles.

This portrait-format painting is hand-painted in oil on canvas by a painter in the workshop, and because it is made to order it takes 2 to 4 weeks depending on size.
