Artwork description
Gandalf and the Balrog meet on the Bridge of Khazad-dûm, the You Shall Not Pass scene from The Lord of the Rings. This is fan art made in our workshop, not a product of the books' or films' makers. At left the Balrog rears up as a mass of flame and dark hide, and a whip of orange fire loops across the canvas to the right. Gandalf stands small at the far end in pale robes, his arm stretched out and a white burst of light before him, against a darkness of tall carved columns. The bridge edge runs along the bottom in cracked dark stone.
The image is twice as wide as it is tall, so the ten sizes run from 60 x 30 cm to 300 x 150 cm, and the Fine Art Print comes in the same sizes. The painting is hand-painted in oil on canvas and made to order in 2 to 4 weeks. Detail photographs can be requested through the contact page.
