Artwork description

At the end of a lively town street in Vietnam stands an ancient brick gate, with an arched passage and a small tile-roofed pavilion above it. Two big trees with yellow-green leaves frame the view, and a smaller tree beside the gate carries blue and purple blossom. Shop awnings in pink, blue and purple stand on both sides of the street. In the foreground people in conical hats ride bicycles, and a red rickshaw sits at the lower left. Thick, textured strokes build the leaves and the paving, and a pale blue sky with cloud fills the top.

The painting is hand-painted in oil on canvas when your order arrives, so it is made to order. A Fine Art Print of the same image is available too. The smallest of the ten sizes is 37 x 30 cm and the largest 185 x 150 cm. Detail photographs of the brushwork can be requested through the contact page.
