The Hanged Man's House by Paul Cézanne
Artwork description
The Hanged Man's House by Paul Cézanne, also called The House of the Hanged Man, is a village landscape dated 1873, and the work itself hangs in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. A pale dirt track climbs from the lower left. A low stone house with a pinkish gable stands on the left, and at the center a whitewashed wall with one small dark door sits beside a tall bare tree with a yellow trunk. A heavy moss-green roof fills the right side. Past the rooftops, hazy hills run under a blue sky with pale cloud. The paint is thick.
The workshop starts this hand-painted copy only once you order, in oil on canvas, and it takes 2 to 4 weeks. A Fine Art Print of the same image is available too. The ten landscape sizes range from 37 x 30 cm to 183 x 150 cm, and you choose whether it comes rolled in a tube, stretched on a frame or framed; the price shows on the page.

The paintings are on display in my Blizzard Museum, and I'll be ordering more within the year!
The prices are also excellent for the work offered! (For a 1.20m x 90cm canvas, in France, a painter charges over €1,500....)
