Tempest at Sounion by Ivan Aivazovsky
Artwork description
Tempest at Sounion by Ivan Aivazovsky shows a stormy night at sea below the headland of Sounion. On the dark cliff at upper left stand a few pale columns. A full moon breaks through heavy clouds that glow cream and gray from behind, and its light lies in strips across white-capped waves. A sailing ship with two masts sits right of center, and in the foreground a small rowboat with a few people pitches among the swells.
It is made to order: a workshop painter hand-paints the scene in oil on canvas after your order, which takes 2 to 4 weeks. Ten landscape sizes are on offer, 43 x 30 cm up to 216 x 150 cm, with a Fine Art Print in each. Detail photographs of the clouds and foam can be requested through the contact page.

The paintings are on display in my Blizzard Museum, and I'll be ordering more within the year!
The prices are also excellent for the work offered! (For a 1.20m x 90cm canvas, in France, a painter charges over €1,500....)
