Japanese Kappa Ukiyo-e
Artwork description
A Japanese kappa in the ukiyo-e tradition stands in a ragged yellow robe tied with a red sash, a wide hat of red and black shading its wrinkled, hairy face. Its bare legs are covered in rough hair and end in claws. In one hand it holds a small red and white lantern. The ground is pale sand with a thin stream of water at lower right, under a flat gray-brown sky.
Orders go to a painter in our workshop, who hand-paints the kappa in oil on canvas, so the work is made to order and takes 2 to 4 weeks depending on size. A Fine Art Print of the image is made in 2 to 4 business days. The ten portrait sizes are tall and narrow, from 30 x 63 cm to 150 x 314 cm. Rolled, stretched or framed: pick on the product page, where each price shows.

The paintings are on display in my Blizzard Museum, and I'll be ordering more within the year!
The prices are also excellent for the work offered! (For a 1.20m x 90cm canvas, in France, a painter charges over €1,500....)
Thanks again! See you soon :)
