Artwork description

House by the Railroad by Edward Hopper shows a tall house with a mansard roof, red chimneys and arched windows, seen from below and set alone against a pale blue sky. The sun lights the white front and the porch columns, the tower side stays in deep blue shadow, and the dark railroad embankment cuts across the bottom edge. Nothing else sits in the frame, no road, no trees, no people. The surface is smooth and the edges are firm.

This is a copy, painted by hand in oil on canvas by one of the workshop's painters and made to order, so allow 2 to 4 weeks depending on size and complexity. There are ten landscape sizes, from 36 x 30 cm to 181 x 150 cm. The same image is sold as a Fine Art Print. It is never hand-painted.
