Artwork description

This is The Calling of Saint Matthew by Caravaggio, a biblical scene. Men in rich period dress sit around a table at the left of a dim room, one wearing a hat with a pale feather, while two figures step in from the right and one of them stretches out an arm. A single beam of light slants down from a shuttered window above and across the wall, leaving most of the room in deep shadow.

Our painter works from your order: the picture is hand-painted in oil on canvas in the workshop, made to order, in 2 to 4 weeks depending on size. The square format gives ten sizes between 30 x 30 cm and 150 x 150 cm. For the same image as a Fine Art Print, pick that option on the page.

Detail photographs of the faces and the light on the wall are available on request through the contact page.

Awesome painting

Really detailed and creative paintings that you don't see a lot of from these subject areas, particularly video games

Excellent artist, asks if you are happy with the finished product, and easy to agree with.

This company goes above and beyond. We are thrilled with out oversized two painting reproductions for many reasons: First, they both look great! Second, Lucas gave us pictures of both paintings while they were being painted and at the end. This gave us the opportunity to change some things (even different from the originals, according to our wishes). Pictures of the final paintings were again sent to us for approval before shipping. This is the best reproduction company we have ever hired and I will hire them again in a heartbeat!

Incredible work and magnificent paintings. I ordered three more paintings to have repainted, and they were simply PERFECT!

The paintings are on display in my Blizzard Museum, and I'll be ordering more within the year!

The prices are also excellent for the work offered! (For a 1.20m x 90cm canvas, in France, a painter charges over €1,500....)

Thanks again! See you soon :)
