شخصية ترتدي ثوبًا يقف وحيدًا عند درابزين حجري، ينظر إلى مدينة مضاءة بالشمس من أسطح حمراء ومعابد وأروقة ذات أعمدة منتشرة تحت سماء كهرمانية متوهجة. توغاه وعباءته القرمزية تلتقطان أشعة الشمس المنخفضة، والقماش مرسوم بطيات ناعمة وثقيلة، بينما الهندسة المعمارية الكلاسيكية - قاعة مستديرة، أروقة بعيدة - ترسخ المشهد في ضوء آخر النهار. المزاج تأملي وهادئ، شخصية واحدة تقف أمام بانوراما شاسعة دافئة الإضاءة، كما لو كانت تزن المدينة أسفلها في لحظة عزلة. تندمج درجات الذهبي والطيني والبنفسجي الداكن عبر السماء، مما يمنح المشهد كله دفء نهاية اليوم الانعكاسي. مرسوم يدويًا بالزيت على قماش ويصنع حسب الطلب بالحجم الذي تختاره، هذا المنظر الهادئ الجوي لحاكم ومدينته يناسب دراسة أو غرفة معيشة أو أي جدار ترحب فيه العظمة الهادئة ودفء ضوء المساء.
