バラナシの石段（ガート）に沿って、僧侶たちが真鍮の油ランプを一斉に掲げ、その炎は暗い川のほとりに明るい黄金の道を描きます。背後には寺院と塔が暖かい黄土色とさび色でそびえ、夕暮れの空は炎のようなオレンジと紫に染まっています。小船が水面に浮かび、見物人をその光の中へ運び、サフランと深紅のローブをまとった群衆が階段から見守ります。構成は熱と静けさを重ね合わせ、燃え盛るランプとたいまつが、その下の冷たく反射する川面に対比されます。献身とリズムに満ちた場面であり、何世代にもわたってガンジス川で繰り返されてきた夕方の儀式です。この作品は、リビングルームや玄関、あるいは式典の感覚と集まった光の恩恵を受けるあらゆる空間に暖かさと敬意をもたらします。キャンバスに油彩で手描きされ、壁に合うサイズでオーダーメイドされ、すべての炎と反映が鮮明に保たれます。<\/p>
