古代の石の低い壁が草の生い茂る岬に小さな部屋の迷路を形成しており、文字による歴史が始まるはるか以前に建てられた集落の遺跡です。遺跡の先には、柔らかな曇り空の下、淡い砂浜の入り江が海に沿って湾曲しています。緑と灰色を抑えた色調が、風景全体に風が強く北国らしい静けさを与えています。すべての石は丁寧に描かれ、壁に見える平らな鴨居や暖炉、何世紀にもわたって放置されてきた芝生などが表現されています。ここには人物はおらず、人々がかつて暮らしていた形だけがあり、絵に瞑想的でほとんど考古学的な静けさを与えています。構図は、手前の親密な石造物から、遠くの広い海岸線の地平線へと視線を導きます。手塗りの油絵で、お好みのサイズでオーダーメイド。この雰囲気のある風景画は、古代史やスコットランドの海岸風景に惹かれる人に特に、書斎や図書室、廊下に最適です。<\/p>
