P-47サンダーボルトが、渦巻く灰色の空に急旋回し、機首の市松模様と白い侵略縞模様が光を浴びる。ノルマンディー沖の急降下から引き起こし、白亜の崖と海岸線が広がる。中景では、黒煙を曳く別の機体が地上へと落下する。配色は冷たいグレー、緑、落ち着いたブルーが主体で、排気炎と雲間から差す光がアクセントとなり、緊迫感と躍動感を生み出している。斜めの構図と低い視点により、観る者は空中戦の中にいるかのような臨場感を味わえる。雲と海岸線が交わる部分は筆致が闊達で雰囲気があり、機体周辺は細部を引き締めて焦点を当てている。キャンバスに油彩で手描きされ、お好みのサイズでオーダーメイド。ホームオフィスや書斎、航空史や第二次世界大戦のミリタリーアートに興味のある方のギャラリーウォールに最適です。<\/p>
