広大な火山のクレーターが眼下に広がっている。その急峻な緑の壁は、広い谷底へと下り、そこでは、散在する光と影が草原と遠くの淡い湖の上を移動している。起伏のある丘は中景に折り重なり、近い斜面には低木と森が暗く茂り、一方、柔らかな灰色と白の雲が積み重なる巨大な空が、キャンバスの半分以上を占めている。この場所のスケールこそが構図の中心であり、はるか下の尾根には、視聴者が立っているように見える場所から、群れや道の跡を示す小さな遠くのシルエットが点在している。光は雲の間を突き抜けて斑点状に差し込み、クレーターの底を金と緑に染め、全体的な感覚は、単一の劇的な焦点ではなく、静かで無限の開放感である。この見渡す限りの自然の眺めは、その地平線を呼吸させるのに十分な大きさのリビングルームやオフィスの壁に適している。キャンバスに手描きの油彩で、お選びのサイズでお作りし、大きな眺めを保持するように作られたどんな壁にもフィットします。
