巨大な三角形の扉口が、丁寧に積まれた巨石の塚に切り込まれている。太陽に照らされたギリシャの丘の中腹に築かれた古代のトロス墳墓の入口だ。ローブをまとった二人の人物が敷居の脇に小さく立ち、その上にそびえる鴨居石のスケールの大きさを際立たせている。周囲の斜面には野草、オリーブの木、暗い糸杉が点在する。光は高く澄み渡り、乾燥した真昼の日差しが石を淡い金色に照らし、入り口の通路に短く鋭い影を落とす。構図には重みと静けさがあり、ミケーネの建設者たちが遠い昔に築いた、生者の世界と死者の世界をつなぐ扉の感覚がある。この記念碑的な遺跡は、書斎や図書室、廊下にふさわしく、暖かい石の色調と力強い幾何学模様が壁に重厚感を与える。キャンバスに手描きの油彩で、お選びのサイズでお作りし、青銅器時代のギリシャの壮大さと神秘を、どんな寸法の空間にもお届けします。
