白髪の女性が日当たりの良い窓辺に座り、安定した手で刺繍枠に針を通しています。彼女のブラウスはそれ自体がキャンバスで、白いリネンの袖に赤いポピー、青いヤグルマギク、緑の葉がびっしりと刺繍され、あごの下に結んだお揃いのスカーフや腰の花柄エプロンにも同じ柄が施されています。窓辺には釉薬のかかった土の水差しが置かれ、同じ暖かな金色の光が彼女の顔と手に降り注いでいます。背後は柔らかな茶色の影に溶け、彼女の目の集中と指の下で形になりつつある半完成の花にすべての注意が向けられています。パレットは暖かく土っぽい、黄土色、クリーム色、レンガ色、深緑で、静かで慌ただしくない気品を与えています。キャンバスに油彩で手描きされ、ご指定のサイズで制作。読書コーナー、廊下、台所の壁など、静かな職人技を称えたい場所に最適です。
