この丘は色とりどりに燃え上がります。厚い印象派の筆致でオレンジ、深紅、金色が、秋の光に照らされた一面の花畑を思わせます。狭い小道がキャンバスを斜めに上り、その道に沿って、広いつばの円錐形の帽子をかぶった小さな人影が歩きます。藍色、白、バラ色の服をまとい、摘みたての花を満載した籠を運んでいます。絵の具は厚い盛り上がりや点描で置かれ、不均一に光を捉えるため、花畑全体がきらめき動いているように見えます。一方、小さな旅人たちは、広大な斜面にスケール感と静かな人間のリズムを与えています。それは日常から遠く離れた高地の花の季節を思わせ、整然とするよりは暖かく少し野生的です。ソファの上や階段に沿った大きなステートメントピースとして飾ると、その暖かさは、派手な色のコントラストなしにエネルギーを求める部屋に適しています。キャンバスに手描きの油彩で、ご希望のサイズでオーダーメイドいたします。
