風化した石の門が、乾燥して日焼けしたアンデスの峰々を背に、単独で立っている。鴨居と柱には、様式化された猫科動物や蛇のレリーフが精巧に彫られている。門の両側には守護者のレリーフが空いた戸口を囲み、牙をむいた顔ととぐろを巻く姿は、何世紀にもわたる風と太陽によって滑らかに磨かれている。まばらな低木と丈夫なサボテンが遺跡の周りの岩場に点在し、淡い日焼けした空が遠くの山の尾根に広がる。石造りの温かい黄褐色と灰色の色調は、周囲の風景の深い茶色と埃っぽい緑と静かな対照をなしている。群衆も、現代の侵入もなく、ただ、それを建てた文明よりも長く生き残った神聖な敷居の静けさがある。手描き油絵でキャンバスに描かれ、ご希望のサイズで製作。この作品は、書斎やオフィス、リビングの壁に古代アンデスの石造りの神秘をもたらします。
