この活気ある川辺の風景は、ガンジス川沿いの聖なるバラナシのガートを描いています。石段が、黄土色、テラコッタ、風化した石の色合いの寺院の塔、ドーム型の祠堂、層状のパビリオンを下っていきます。サフラン、白、深紅の布をまとった群衆が階段とプラットフォームに集まり、ある者は静かに儀式を行い、他の者はテラスに点在する傘の間を移動しています。下の水辺には木製の手漕ぎボートがひしめき合い、巡礼者を淡い緑の川を渡して運び、その反射は、柔らかな雲がたなびく暖かく霞んだ空の下で波打っています。水辺の近くからは細い煙の筋が立ち上り、シーンに進行中の儀式の感覚を加えています。光は拡散して黄金色で、建築と群衆を一つの連続した、テクスチャーのある日常の献身のタペストリーに統一しています。キャンバスに手塗りの油絵で、お選びのサイズに合わせてオーダーメイド。書斎、リビング、または場所と儀式の感覚を歓迎するあらゆる空間に、暖かさと文化的な深みをもたらします。
