Auf hoher See breitet ein vietnamesischer Sonnenuntergang warme, leuchtende Farben über den Himmel aus, während Fischer als Silhouetten vor dem Glühen erscheinen. In Öl auf Leinwand wird das Licht in warmen, leuchtenden Schichten aufgebaut, wobei lockere Striche das über das Wasser verstreute Schimmern einfangen. Die Szene wirkt ebenso ehrfurchtgebietend wie still und birgt in ihrer Helligkeit ein Gefühl von Frieden. Sie bringt eine ruhige, nachdenkliche Wärme in jedes Zuhause.
