Majestätische Wellen erheben sich und rollen unter einem wolkenverhangenen Himmel, das Meer im exakten Moment, in dem seine Kraft auf den offenen Horizont trifft. In Öl auf Leinwand wird das Wasser aus geschichteten, schwungvollen Pinselstrichen aufgebaut, die jeder Welle echte Bewegung verleihen, während die Wolken in ein diffuses, atmosphärisches Licht darüber getaucht sind. Im Wohnzimmer findet es eine stille Erhabenheit, doch auch in einem Empfangsbereich wirkt es ganz natürlich. Seine unruhige Oberfläche wird ruhiger, je länger man hinsieht, und hinterlässt ein bleibendes Gefühl von Frieden an der Wand.
