Weiches Licht fällt auf Lotusblüten, die sich auf stillem Wasser spiegeln, während die Dämmerung über die Szene hereinbricht. Ölfarbe wird in sanften, verschmolzenen Schichten verarbeitet, wodurch sich die Spiegelungen weich in die umgebende Stille auflösen, anstatt als hartes Spiegelbild zu stehen. Der Pinselstrich bevorzugt sanfte Übergänge gegenüber scharfen Kanten und hält die gesamte Komposition ruhig und unaufgeregt.
