يجلس كوخ خشبي بهدوء في مشهد شتوي، ونوافذه متوهجة ضد الثلج في الخارج. مرسوم بالزيت على القماش، المشهد مبني بضربات فرشاة ناعمة وملمسية تلتقط ثقل الثلج والضوء الدافئ المتسرب من الداخل. عند إدخاله إلى المنزل، يملأ الغرفة بدفء مريح وآمن، ذلك النوع من السكون الذي يجعل المساحة تبدو وكأنها ملاذ.
