تُظهر هذه اللوحة منظرًا غابيًا في حالة سكون، مع أشجارها ونباتاتها المرتبة في عمق هادئ وغير متسرع. يسمح الزيت على القماش للخضرة والظلال بالتراكب بلطف، وتبني ضربات الفرشاة الغابة بإيقاع هادئ وغير متكلف بدلاً من الخطوط الحادة. يحتفظ الطلاء بسكون فيه، وكأن المشهد بأكمله تم التقاطه في منتصف نفَس بين الأشجار. في المنزل، يقدم حضورًا ثابتًا ومريحًا، جيبًا من الطبيعة يبطئ الغرفة من حوله.
