يظهر تنين مهيب معلقاً فوق مياه هادئة، شكله آمر لكنه محتوى في مشهد هادئ ومتوازن. وُضع الدهان الزيتي بضربات فرشاة واسعة وواثقة تتبع قوة المخلوق، بينما تمنح الطلاءات الناعمة الماء سكونه الهادئ. يمنح التباين بين القوة والهدوء القطعة جذباً عاطفياً يستمر. في المنزل، تصبح نقطة محورية لافتة تترك مجالاً للتأمل الهادئ.
