كنغر أحمر يقفز منخفضاً فوق أرض محروقة بالشمس، ساقاه الخلفيتان القويتان في منتصف الخطوة وذيله الطويل يجر لتحقيق التوازن. يمتد الأدغال الأسترالي حوله في نطاقات من الصدأ والمغرة والذهب الجاف، خصلات من عشب سبينيفكس تكسر الأرض، بينما تميل شجرة صمغ وحيدة مقابل سماء مخططة بدفء آخر ضوء في اليوم. في المسافة البعيدة ترتفع صخرة كبيرة متآكلة ضد الأفق، متوهجة بالكهرمان بينما تغرب الشمس خلفها. المزاج جامح وغير متعجل، لحظة خاصة من الحركة قبل أن يتلاشى الضوء تماماً. تبقى ضربات الفرشاة فضفاضة وواثقة في الأعشاب والسماء، وتصبح حادة حول عيني الحيوان اليقظتين وجسده العضلي. كلوحة زيتية مرسومة يدوياً، تُنفذ حسب المقاس الذي تحتاجه، تناسب دراسة أو مكتباً أو جدار غرفة معيشة حيث يستحق حب الحياة البرية والبلاد المفتوحة نقطة محورية قوية ومشمسة.
