تقف فتاة صغيرة في مركز هذه اللوحة الزيتية على القماش، محاطة بحقل قمح واسع. تصبح ضربات الفرشاة أكثر ارتخاءً عبر القمح نفسه، مانحةً السطح إيقاعاً طبيعياً وملمسياً حول ثباتها. وتبني طبقات الطلاء عمقاً ناعماً يوحي بضوء ينساب بلطف عبر الحقل. عند عرضها في المنزل، تبثّ مزاجاً حنينياً هادئاً مرتبطاً بالريف ارتباطاً وثيقاً.
