درج حجري حلزوني ينزل إلى باطن الأرض، صفوف من الفتحات المقوسة المغطاة بالطحلب والخضرة المتدلية، تجذب العين نحو دائرة النور الصغيرة عالياً. السراخس والزواحف تلين الحجارة المتهالكة، وشعاع من الضوء الباهت يسقط من فوهة البئر ملتقطاً الغبار العائم ويسكن على الدرجات الرطبة أدناه. الجو هادئ وغامض بعض الشيء، يشبه من الداخل صدفة أكثر من مبنى، مع غلبة الأخضر والرمادي الباردين على التوهج الدافئ عند الفتحة. يبدو المكان أقل كونه ممراً وأكثر كونه مكاناً للتوقف، لغز معماري ملفوف بالنباتات. مرسومة يدوياً بالزيت على قماش وتصنع حسب الطلب بالحجم الذي تختاره، تناسب دراسة أو جدار سلم أو ركن قراءة، في أي مكان يضيف فيه جو الغموض الهادئ وحجارة القدم عمقاً للغرفة.
