يُشبك يدان متجعدتان معًا في صلاة هادئة، بين أصابعهما مسبحة من خرز باهت وصليب صغير معلق في وسطهما. يتوهج لهب شمعة واحدة خارج الإطار، ويلقي ضوءًا كهرمانيًا دافئًا على كل تجعد ومفصل بينما تذوب الخلفية في ظل بني عميق مخملي. تتكون اللوحة بالكامل من ضوء الشمعة ذلك - ذهبيات عسلية وبني محروق وإبرازات ناعمة تلتقط كل خرزة - مما يمنح المشهد هدوءًا حميميًا مقدسًا تقريبًا. لا يوجد إطار يشتت الانتباه عن الإيماءة نفسها: فقط تفانٍ وصبر وحياة طويلة تُروى من خلال الجلد واليدين. هذه القطعة تناسب ركنًا للصلاة أو ممرًا أو جدارًا بجانب السرير أو أي مساحة هادئة مخصصة للتأمل، حيث يقرأ توهجها الدافئ بلطف حتى في الإضاءة المنخفضة. مرسومة يدويًا بالزيت على قماش، تُصنع حسب الطلب بالحجم الذي تختاره، جاهزة لتثبيت لحظة سكون في أي غرفة.
