تستريح شخصية قاسية مسمرّة على حافة حجرية تحت ظل شجرة زيتون، ونظرتها متجهة نحو بقرة بيضاء تشرب من جدول أسفلها. خلفه، ترتفع منحدرات شديدة ومجموعة مبانٍ بأسقف من الطين المحروق على جانب التلة تحت سماء دافئة ضبابية. المزاج هنا أهدأ من مطاردة أو صيد، بل لحظة راحة يقظة في حرّ النهار، الحارس يتوقف لكنه لا يرتاح أبدًا. الأخضر الناعم والذهبي المغبّر والأزرق الباهت للتلال البعيدة يمنح المناظر الطبيعية إحساسًا متوسطيًا دافئًا بالشمس. إنها رواية ألطف لنفس الأسطورة القديمة، مناسبة لمشاهد يفضّل السكون على العرض. مرسومة يدويًا بالزيت على قماش وتُصنع حسب الطلب بالحجم الذي تختاره، تجلب هذه القطعة دفء التلال اليونانية إلى غرفة معيشة أو ممر أو دراسة.
