امرأة مسنة ترتدي ساري كريمي فاتح تجثو على أرض متربة، وتدير عجلة غزل خشبية بينما تسحب القطن إلى خيط. خصلات قطن خام متناثرة عند قدميها، والمدخل المفتوح خلفها يؤطر رؤية ضبابية لحقول خضراء تحت ضوء النهار الناعم. يداها المتجعدتان وتركيزها الهادئ مرسومان بتفاصيل دقيقة، والألوان الهادئة من الكريمي والبني والرمادي المغبر تؤسس للمشهد في بساطة ريفية وعمل صبور. الضوء ناعم ومتساوٍ، ويسقط بلطف على الخشب المتآكل للعجلة وطيات ثوبها. مرسومة بالزيت على القماش، وُضع ملمس القطن والقماش والخشب القديم بضربات دقيقة ومتعمدة. مرسومة يدويًا وحسب الطلب بالمقاس الذي تختاره، تجلب هذه اللوحة إحساسًا بالتراث والكرامة الهادئة إلى دراسة أو مدخل أو أي غرفة تقدر الحرفية والسكون.
